DENTAL HYGENIST
Annie Sauvé a registered dental hygenist from Ottawa Public Health will be at our school to offer Free dental screenings and oral health information. The dental screening will consist of an individual screening using a tongue depressor and non-latex gloves. Youth identified as having urgent dental needs will be given a notification form. The hygienist will be able to help the student access dental treatment services if needed. This does not replace a dental examination from a dentist.
I also have free toothbrushes and floss. I look for cavities, broken teeth, hemorrhage (bleeding), infection, pain, irreversible gum disease, pathology. If they have questions regarding smoking, oral piercing, wisdom teeth etc. I am there to help.

The OCDSB in partnership with Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO) continues to support our families through the Multicultural Liaison Officer (MLO) program.
This program addresses the settlement and integration needs of newcomers, immigrants, and refugee students and their families to ensure a successful school experience. The MLO provides information about the education system, support services and advocacy for students and parents. As well as connecting families to specialized community resources as needed.
Our MLO, Saida Al-Shammari, is at Ridgemont High School on Mondays and Fridays all day.
